Nottingham UK, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom Interquest Group Full time

Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in software engineering projects? We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee a critical software development project involving API integration, ensuring seamless collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Manager to manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle for a project focused on integrating APIs with third-party services. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in software development projects, excellent organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. You will develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure alignment with business goals. Coordinating and leading project meetings, setting agendas, documenting decisions, and tracking action items are essential duties.

As the primary point of contact for internal teams, third-party vendors, and external clients, you will facilitate communication and collaboration between developers, business teams, and other project stakeholders. You will manage expectations and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.

You will lead a cross-functional team of developers, testers, and business subject matter experts. Fostering a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation, and conducting regular review meetings while mentoring teams to achieve project milestones are key aspects of this role.

You will identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans as necessary, and monitor project progress to make adjustments as needed, ensuring successful delivery. Compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements is also crucial.

Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of API integrations with third-party services is a key part of your responsibilities. You will ensure robust testing and quality assurance processes are in place for all integrations and coordinate with external parties to manage dependencies.

Additionally, you will prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, design specifications, and user guides, is a critical part of this role.

Qualifications:

We require a Bachelor’s degree, with relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP) being a plus. You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically in software development and API integration projects. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, MS Project), a solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and experience with API technologies and integration patterns are essential.

You should possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

If you are ready to take on this challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you
