  • A privately-owned supplier of FMCG products across multiple product categories, supplying predominantly the discount retail channel.
  • Business turnover is in excess of £50 million and company has been in trading successfully for over 20 years.
  • The market is buoyant, products are in high demand and the business is currently in growth despite difficult market conditions.
  • Sell to a mix of large international retailers and small local stores offering over 1000 varieties of products at affordable prices for consumers.
  • An opportunity has arisen due to growth for a Field Sales Account Manager to join the business covering the South of England selling to a mix of convenience stores and independent retailers.


The role:

  • Manage an existing portfolio of convenience-based stores, for example Londis, Premier, Nisa, Spa and independents.
  • Seek out new accounts across the territory and develop new business.
  • Conduct regular face to face visits with store owners to assess their needs and offer solutions.
  • Work in conjunction with the strategic plans of the business and different brands
  • Develop existing business and seek new business opportunities across the area
  • Monitor all market trends, competitors, pricing and promotional activity
  • Be field based, daily travel to all stores and manage your own territory effectively



Ideal candidate:

  • Will need to have experience of operating in a territory/field-based sales role.
  • Ideally you will have operated in an FMCG category across non-food or food/drink
  • Experience of selling to convenience-based retailers such Londis, Nisa, Spa and independents would be highly beneficial. Or a prior understanding of retail. Other field sales experience will also be considered
  • Will need to be ambitious, diligent, organised and able to manage your own diary and time effectively
  • Target driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facing and out on the road
  • Able to travel across the Southern territory (South of Birmingham) as per the needs of the role and business


Benefits & details:

  • Basic salary up to £35,000
  • OTE £60-70,000, company car, expenses paid and wider benefits
  • Field based role covering the territory and happy to travel
