The Insights Manager will play a pivotal role in key strategic business and marketing specific decisions by creating, executing, and maintaining a sustainable insights hierarchy, analysing the data, and providing actionable intelligence across the organization. This role will drive a step change in how we approach the provision, visibility and application of insights in the organization to ensure data-driven decision making.
The key responsibilities for the role are as follows -
Strategic Decision Support: Lead thinking around data-driven decision making, collaborating with senior leadership to provide deep analytical expertise related to customers, prospects, markets, channels, and products.
NPD/NSD Insights : Manage and develop Insights requirements for all New Product Development and New Service Development initiatives working closely with Portfolio and Engineering Stakeholders
Market Analytics: Define and deliver market analytic requirement, enabling strategic and tactical marketing decisions, including Persona and Buyers Journey mapping and validation.
Competitor Analytics: Lead the development of a fully integrated competitive picture to provide insights for the sales and product teams.
Holistic Insights: Drive the closure of information gaps using primary and secondary research, competitive insights, and in-house data analytics at a global and regional level
Brand Positioning: Collaborate closely with the Brand team to create and implement a regular cadence of intelligence to support the Brand positioning efforts.
Reporting: Collaborate with the Performance Specialist to develop comprehensive and aligned impactful insights through visually engaging dashboard
Agency Management : Collaborate with the Marketing Process Manager to assess external Insights vendors, manage ongoing relationships, set appropriate KPIs for agency delivery, and manage a quality briefing process
Continuous Improvement: ability to assess internal Insight needs, bringing external-in mindset, best practices and ideas to leverage insights in an actionable way with key stakeholders in Sales, Portfolio, Technology and other teams
Digitisation : Assess and create Roadmap on how to democratize Insights outputs to the broader organization working with Strategy, Digital and Marketing Performance teams to align define and secure support to deliver on the requirements.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience -
- 5+ years of related experience in market research, insights, data analysis-related roles
- Familiarity with syndicated research/data tools and the ability to extract, interpret, and communicate data trends
- Knowledge of persona and buying group development and activation
- Experience of selecting, managing and partnering with agencies to deliver on business objectives
- Excellent data and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Experienced collaborator with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in dynamic and flexible environment.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace
