Join our client as an Regional Manager

The successful candidate will need to be based in or local to London.

Role Description

As a Regional Manager, your primary purpose is to oversee and enhance the operational management and financial performance of the student residences within an assigned area.

You will ensure compliance within health and safety regulations, drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead asset mobilisation for new properties. Your role is crucial in optimising property performance, maximising revenue and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Management:

  • Vigilantly ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all properties, fostering a risk-free environment and a positive safety culture.
  • Oversee and optimise financial performance, managing budgets, and enhancing revenue across all properties.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, adding value to all sites under management.
  • Prepare and analyse performance, financial metrics, and operational KPIs. Identify trends and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and resident satisfaction.
  • Oversee the setup of new properties, from operational costings to staffing and recruitment, ensuring readiness for practical completion.
  • Act as the primary contact during emergencies, managing escalation protocols, keeping stakeholders informed, and ensuring necessary follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to maintain consistent performance across all sites while fostering a positive, collaborative culture that aligns with company values.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to teams with a positive, open-minded, and outgoing demeanor, ensuring the efficient operation of student properties.
  • Take pride in maintaining high standards across all properties under your management.
  • Lead the annual budget setting and re-forecasting processes for your area in collaboration with the wider team.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Relevant multi-site management experience. (e.g. residence-based/ student accommodation).
  • Proven financial responsibility, including managing forecasts, budgets and P&Ls.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in developing a continuous improvement culture and having an impact on the way things are done.
  • Resilience and adaptability, as well as a great cultural diversity awareness.
  • 3+ years PBSA or BTR sector experience.
