In close collaboration with the various departments within our organisation, you will take on a prominent position in revenue generation, identifying opportunities, and elevating our standing within the industry. You will foster existing relationships, reach out to potential collaborators, and effectively convey the solutions offered by EPIC. This role demands a strategic mindset, a history of successful business development, the ability to articulate creative solutions and leadership skills. We are seeking an independent self-starter with strong communication and negotiation abilities.


The Business Development Manager will be expected to engage with individuals at different levels of management, devise a forward-thinking growth-oriented strategic plan, and demonstrate proficiency in pertinent tools and technologies for business development. This role requires a 2–3-year background, preferably in sales, business development, or partnerships.

Sales & Lead Generation:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive lead generation strategy for generating new business opportunities across EPIC’s target sectors in the UK and Europe.
  • Identify potential clients and establish strong, lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Cultivate and maintain existing client relationships while recognising opportunities for upselling EPIC services, collaborating with the relevant account leads.
  • Create compelling and customised sales pitches and presentations, effectively conveying the value of our services to prospective clients.
  • Engage in negotiations and successfully close deals to attain sales targets.
  • Create and execute proposals during the validation stage of EPIC's sales process.
  • Guide opportunities through the various stages of EPIC's sales process.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader EPIC team to ensure EPIC's strong presence at designated events, maximising brand exposure.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to support the development of marketing content tailored to the UK and Europe market.


Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the business development plans in alignment with the company objectives.
  • Provide insights and feedback to improve product/service offerings and pricing strategies.
  • Assist in crafting go-to-market strategies for the UK and Europe, encompassing the identification of opportunities and the pursuit of new clients, in conjunction with the Head of Business Development and the Marketing Manager.
  • Contribute to the formulation of commercial forecasts and strategies for the UK and Europe market.


Reporting & Insights:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, client engagements, and market information within EPIC's sales pipeline and database.
  • Create routine reports to evaluate performance, recognising potential areas for enhancement, and share findings with the wider Business Development team.
  • Oversee compliance with sales pipeline processes.
  • Maintain oversight of market trends and new opportunities.
  • Stay updated on market developments and the activities of industry competitors.


Team Collaboration:

  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various departments within the organisation, such as safer gambling, pro sport, operations, and research.
  • Collaborate closely with teams throughout the sales process, involving the relevant team members at the appropriate stages of the process.
  • Share market insights and feedback across the business to enhance product/service offerings.
  • Facilitate team meetings and workshops to encourage collaboration and innovation.
  • Cultivate teamwork and the exchange of information between different departments within the organisation.
