Job Summary
CDW have a position available for a Breakfix Supervisor to become an integral part of our Operations leadership team and manage a team of professional warehousing operatives and/or repair engineers in one of our Break Fix Operations centres.
Your role will involve overseeing the daily operations, ensuring that all processes are streamlined for maximum efficiency and that quality standards are consistently met. You will also be responsible for training and developing your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to best practices. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and enhance the overall customer experience. Key responsibilities
- To lead, motivate and inspire a team of skilled coworkers
- Scheduling work to ensure correct expectations are set and timescales are met
- Ensuring that housekeeping standards are always kept to a high level
- Responsible for ensuring a team within the Break Fix operations centre is working in a cost effective and efficient manner
- Helping to ensure accurate and efficient processes are created and followed
- Ensuring that the Department and Team are continuously developed and promoted in line with the company’s vision for the future
- Working closely with other leaders to help ensure all required items and orders enter and exit the department in full and efficiently
- Establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external service levels whilst constantly identifying improvements areas
- Investigation and remediation of issues and process failures, the priority being customer expectations
- Identifying skills gaps and working to ensure gaps are filled and training is completed and signed off according to the defined processes
- 1 to 1 meetings with team members
- Annual performance plans with team members
- Driving utilisation to ensure the department is cost effective and working to best utilise capacity
- Work alongside our Coworker Success (HR) team to manage performance and any disciplinary procedures
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Leadership experience in a repair and logistics operation
- Performance management experience and working closely with HR teams
- Health and Safety experience in a similar environment
- A level of experience working in a fast paced technical environment
- An understanding of an organisational structure from a commercial perspective
- Experience as a configuration technician would be an advantage
- A passion for the IT industry in particular providing pre delivery configuration of customers equipment
- An understanding of the industry, and the role that CDW plays, including its customer base
- Business management skills with a total commitment to the highest levels of customer service
- An ability to get stuff done whilst managing competing pressures and deadlines and retaining an eye for detail and quality.
