priorities. It is expected that this role will focus on supporting Tax Change initiatives.
The objective of the RTM portfolio within Strategic Delivery is to safeguard the Securities Services (SSv) business globally and ensure we remain at all times within compliance requirements so we can continue to operate. The composition of the portfolio is driven by changes either in (1) external regulatory and tax compliance requirements, or (2) by market driven change (such as IBOR or the SWIFT ISO standards), or (3) by Group/GBM/SSv mandated programmes of work (such as NFRO).
In all instances these changes will typically impact the Securities Services business across multiple product lines and/or countries and regions and hence require support from the central RTM Portfolio to co-ordinate, manage and implement the resultant change.

Projects will usually involve the building of new business models in conjunction with COO, CCO and Product to support internal business or external market driven initiatives; re-structuring of existing business; and/or re-engineering initiatives driven by industry changes and internal projects / initiatives. Effective liaison with Regulatory Compliance, Tax Compliance, Legal and Client Management functions is an integral component of most projects. The RTM Portfolio is part of the wider Securities Services Strategic Delivery. We ensure effective and efficient definition, planning, management and execution of global and regional change programmes that are driven by regulatory or tax compliance requirements, or that are mandatory in nature and driven from the NFR or COO functions. Programmes of work often span the organisation and may have Group, MSS or GBM sponsorship.

This Business Analyst role is to support and understand structures, operations, processes, product and service offerings, policies and systems as part of the Securities Services RTM portfolio team. Specifically, this Edinburgh based role will support the Tax Programme, and in particular our FATCO / CRS programme. The successful candidate will be expected to support and lead a variety of business analysis activities across the programme. An understanding of the following areas would be beneficial: FATCA reporting, Tax services, Transfer Agency structures and services

Role Responsibilities:

Play a pivotal role in how the team delivers and embeds change, working in conjunction with the business and our delivery partners. Responsible for Requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management. Business Analysts work collaboratively with delivery partners and subject matter experts in gathering, translating and clarifying requirements and defining design options. In systems related projects and programmes, the role holder may also support software delivery and IT Operations with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements and designs, often representing the voice of the customer and business in these discussions.

The Business Analyst’s change management activities span from early change planning and audience analysis; through to designing and delivering change interventions (e.g. communications, training, support, organisation alignment); and tracking and taking actions on change readiness, adoption, and feedback. Business Analysts are also responsible for Implementation Management, including planning, controlling and reporting on implementation of the change ‘product’, focusing on accelerating benefits and minimising risk during deployment. Implementation activities will also include managing implementation readiness and managing the early stages of implementation (e.g. pilot). In reengineering projects, they work closely with the Process Consultants in analysing and re-engineering business processes. Business Analysts will often lead design workstreams or teams, managing other Business Analysts, SMEs and resources from our delivery partners.
