Who You Are

You are an experienced children's social worker with over 3 years of post-qualified experience, including completion of your ASYE. You have a proven track record in working with Children in Care and Children Looked After. Essential skills include excellent engagement abilities and direct working skills with children and young people. You possess a methodical and organized approach to care and placement planning, aimed at minimizing risk and ensuring stable placements tailored to individual needs. You hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle. You are ready to join a supportive and visionary team at Liverpool Children's Services, committed to improving outcomes for children and families.

What the Job Involves

This role involves working within the Permanence Teams at Liverpool Children's Services. You'll be part of a stable and supportive team environment with a strong senior leadership team dedicated to collaborative practice improvement. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with children and young people, care and placement planning, and ensuring long-term improved outcomes. You will benefit from a 3-month minimum contract, earning up to £42 per hour based on experience, a 35-hour work week, a hybrid working model with 3 days in Liverpool, and regular reflective supervision. You'll have access to Liverpool's range of support services, including a Family Group Conference Service and family support workers. The role is based in a well-connected city offering easy accessibility and commutability from nearby cities and towns.
