[CJ FOODS UK] National Account Manager – Retailers (Food Industry)
Job Summary
The National Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive sales with the top retailers in the UK. This role requires deep understanding of the food retail market, excellent relationship management skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Account Management
- Develop and grow key accounts with the top-tier retailers in the UK
- Work with retailers to develop category growth strategies and maximize shelf presence
- Track and report on account financials, including sales forecasts, trade spend, and profit margins
Sales and Negotiations
- Drive sales growth by negotiating trading agreements, promo plans, and pricing strategies.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify and address any issues or challenges impacting account performance
New Product Development
- Collaborate with the NPD team to identify and launch new products that meet retailer and consumers’ needs
- Present new product concepts to retailers, securing listings
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience of account management – focusing on managing top-tier UK retailers (Tesco, JS, Waitrose, Morrisons) *
- Experience working in the frozen food or world food category
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
