Field Service and Installation Technician

Job Description
Attend customer sites to provide new system installation and/or support for our maintenance clients as well as ensuring that our client’s personnel receive comprehensive training as required. This position will require you to work overnight and away (nationwide) during installations dependent on location. All expenses, including hotel accommodation and meals will be covered.
Key accountabilities - main areas of responsibility
Installation
- Attend sites as instructed to carry out installation of CASCO Pet equipment and be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the installation process are completed to the correct standards
- Carry out an inspection of the delivery
- Produce high quality work in all areas of responsibility within agreed timescales
Service
- Undertake planned, preventative maintenance activities and undertake reactive breakdown repair
- Provide ongoing training to store personnel on all elements of the filtration systems
- Manage returns and warranty parts within stores
- Follow the service itinerary as planned
- Ensure that you are able to attend call outs when scheduled to cover the out-of-hours Emergency Pager
Other
- Travel may be required over the weekend to be able to arrive on site when required
- Work the hours required to ensure the job gets done within the set deadlines
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing for self and others at all times
- Demonstrate a professional attitude ensuring that customer expectations are fully met
- Ensure van is stocked and has all relevant consumable items and tools required to carry out your duties
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in using hand and power tools
- Knowledge of electrics, plumbing, carpentry or joinery would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of health & safety
- Excellent DIY skills
- Full, clean driving license - essential
- Experience in the animal (pet or vet) industry would be an advantage

- Due to company vehicle insurance required age is from 21 years’ old
- Prepared for all aspects of labour including manual lifting and long periods of standing, walking or driving
- Flexible approach to working hours and comfortable with overnight stays on a weekly basis
- Highly customer focused, self-driven with positive outlook and a desire to succeed
- Logical, methodical and exceptional attention to detail
- Positive ‘can-do will-do’ attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to develop a solution
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
