We're searching for an experienced and dynamic Depot Manager to lead and optimise the operations at our depot and transfer station in Middlesbrough. Here’s what we require:

  • Proven Experience: Solid background as an Operations / Depot / General Manager or in a similar high-responsibility role within services or logistics.
  • CPC Qualification: Essential for managing compliance and operational standards.
  • COTC Qualification: Desirable but not essential; it’s a bonus that would enhance your suitability for the role.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, commercially driven, and time-sensitive environment.
  • Leadership in Complex Settings: Experience in people management and health & safety within a unionised, multi-shift environment.
  • Legislative Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of current and upcoming environmental and health & safety regulations.
  • Local Insight: Familiarity with the local area for effective operations.
  • KPI Focused: Demonstrated ability to meet clearly defined KPIs.
  • Continuous Improvement: A proven track record of driving continuous improvement in an operational setting.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to communicate persuasively, plan meticulously, and collaborate effectively.
