The role will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance across the organisation alongside the Director of Central Services which this role reports to.
Role Details:
- Salary: £115,000 to £130,000
- Bonus: Up to 30% of base salary - payable annually
- Car Allowance: £7875pa - Car allowance is paid monthly and is subject to income tax and NI and is non-pensionable.
- Location: Redhill
- Contract type: Permanent
- Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in the office and 2 days at home

Role Purpose:
Leadership and management
- Providing leadership to the legal and compliance function
- Managing, developing, coaching, and mentoring the team
Legal
- Provide constructive focused legal advice to the business in accordance with the business strategy.
- Negotiation skills – take a key role in commercial and contractual negotiations with third parties
- Independently manage legal disputes for the Company and advise on legal strategy to achieve the optimal resolution of such disputes in accordance with the business strategy
Risk management
- Monitor, assess, and advise the business on legal risks, anticipate developing or changing legal risks for the business, proactively work with the business to improve the management of legal risks
Compliance
- Management of the TGPL Audit and Compliance function and all associated elements of the TGPL Compliance Program
- Accountable for ensuring the compliance team delivers the compliance strategy
Audit management
- Oversee internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
- Oversee the planning of all external audits of TGPL
Experience Required:
- Experience in a similar senior legal role in a regulated industry
- Dealing with Commercial contracts
- UK Legal qualification is essential Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Compliance or audit management experience is essential.
Please Note that we will be moving to a new office
Based at the Kingswood Field office KT20 6RP (Tadworth), a 28 acre office campus site set in the Surrey countryside with Trail walks. You will enjoy a modern vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite resturant and cafe with a wide range of options available, and coffee shop. There is a state-of-the-art on-site onsite gym run by nutfield, with classes on set days in the mornings, at lunch and after work hours.
We have a staff car park which includes electric charging points, an undercover and secure bike rack (useful if you’ve made the most of the Cycle-to-Work scheme), or if you will use public transport we have a private shuttle bus service that regularly runs between train station and the office at peak times.
