Greenvolt Next is currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team.


Key Responsibilities


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Contracts / Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in the utility and commercial scale solar industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational delivery and oversight of all solar projects undertaken by the company and regularly report to the Operations Director. This role demands a proactive leader who can drive project success, promote a safety culture, and ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Delivery:

  • Oversee the execution of all projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Manage the company wide delivery schedule and report on procurement and project by project requirements.
  • Ensure projects are adequately resourced for optimal delivery, selecting the right individuals to form the project team
  • Directly manage project managers and engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.


Safety Culture:

  • Foster and promote a safety-first culture across all project teams.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular QEHS Inspections and Audits in line with company quality systems


Contract Management:

  • Review, write, and amend contracts to mitigate company risk.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met by both the company and clients.


Reporting:

  • Provide bi weekly/monthly reports on project progression and performance and submit to the Operations Director
  • Prepare financial reports and ensure cash flow and cost control measures are up-to-date.


Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve high performance.
  • Promote a positive business culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Play an active role alongside the Operations Director in recruiting professional individuals to support business growth.


Customer Relations:

  • Provide support to the Senior/Project managers alongside the customer-facing representative for all project-related matters.
  • Manage conflicts and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.


Compliance:

  • Ensure all authority planning applications, design submissions, and DNO application submissions are completed on time.
  • Ensure all company Quality Systems are adhered to and prepare for external auditing


Financial Management:

  • Monitor project milestones and ensure payment applications are submitted promptly.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical / electrical EPC background.
  • Renewable energy and solar experience a bonus
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong background in contract management and risk mitigation.


Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and cost control.


Education:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive understanding of the Construction and Design Management Regulations 2015
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Formal Project Management qualification MAPM, Prince 2

Location:


The role is UK based: While the initial role will be predominantly based in the Warrington area, travel and overnight stays may be required to suit future projects assigned.
