Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting exclusively for a Finance Assistant for a software company based near Newport.


This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office 1-2 days per week, and there is a possibility for part time with flexible hours.


You will be working alongside the CEO and external accountant, in a stand-alone finance role, as the company grows, there is an opportunity for increased responsibility.


This is an exciting time to join as they continue to grow over the next few years


Responsibilities & day to day duties

As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the business with all financial administration duties, including working closely with an external accountant
  • Ensure all invoices are processed in time with deadlines
  • Credit control duties – proactively chase overdue payments
  • Financial forecasting reports, cash flow reports and support accountant with P&L
  • Manage payroll and expense reimbursements
  • Provide administrative and financial support for partner and client relationships


Skills & experience required.

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a Finance role for an SME business
  • Strong understanding of payroll, VAT, invoicing, and financial compliance in the UK.
  • Experience with financial tools such as Xero, QuickBooks and Excel for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing calls when required and chasing payments
