Role Overview:
The Vice President is a key member of the Diligence Management team, responsible for leading the due diligence process for infrastructure and transition funds. This role involves creating and overseeing diligence materials before fund launches, guiding diligence activities during fundraising, and managing client interactions, such as calls, meetings, asset tours, and on-site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality due diligence deliverables during fundraising, including DDQs, RFPs, RFIs, and presentations.
- Manage and develop a team, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, and compensation.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring the team effectively responds to investor diligence requests, with close collaboration with investor relations, investment professionals, and CRM teams.
- Plan and manage interactions between prospective investors and investment teams, including calls, meetings, and due diligence events.
- Design and track custom diligence plans with clients and CRMs, reporting on activities internally and to clients.
- Lead the creation of diligence materials before fund launches, including DDQs, investor presentations, PPMs, and case studies.
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s infrastructure and transition funds, ensuring accurate and consistent diligence content.
- Mentor and coach the team to effectively communicate the firm’s strategy to investors.
- Contribute to developing tools and resources for responding to investor requests, including maintaining an RFP content database and quantitative datasets.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines with clients, CRMs, senior investment professionals, and global teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business management, marketing, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is advantageous. CFA, CAIA, or similar designations are preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, transition, renewable, and/or impact asset classes, with a focus on marketing, due diligence, or client services.
- Strong familiarity with investment products and institutional private fund marketing, particularly in infrastructure and transition asset classes.
- Proven experience leading a team with direct reports and managing multiple projects in a global environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure and transition asset classes, with an understanding of the due diligence process and institutional client needs in EMEA and/or APAC regions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational skills, relationship management across diverse geographies, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
