General Beazley have a fantastic opportunity for x2 Workday financials testers to join us on 6 month rolling contracts. Please note, contractors must live within a commutable distance to either our London or Birmingham offices. Key Relationships: Workday Platform Lead, IT Platform Lead, Finance Leadership Team, Finance Change. Job Summary: In this role, you will provide testing support as part of the upcoming Phase X deployment of Workday Financials. The Workday Financials implementation forms part of a wider finance modernization programme delivery at Beazley. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the creation of test scripts pertaining to Workday Financials modules (e.g. R2R, P2P, Business Assets, Capital Projects, PRISM and Accounting Centre) Execute test scripts to validate that the expected functional and business requirements in terms of processes and controls are working as designed. Identify gaps in the Workday Financials configuration through test execution and raise bugs via the defects management process for resolution. Conduct re-tests and provide feedback. Review the Workday security assignment behaviour during testing and provide feedback on any conflicts identified from a segregation of duties/ 4 eye review perspective. Valid Financials data (e.g. general ledger balances) to ensure it reconciles and has been loaded correctly in the Workday tenant. Execute regression test scenarios and raise any issues via the established defects management process. Run custom reports to test the output and review results with the Reporting Product Owner. Identify modifications which may be needed with the reports and provide feedback. Produce test progress metrics support to the Workday Test Lead as and when needed. Provide support to Workday Platform Lead in reviewing the Workday Delivery Assurance Reviews for Workday Financials and providing feedback to the implementation partner and Workday. Assist with other testing related activities as and when required. Role-Specific Competencies Solid and demonstrable experience of End To End Testing, User Acceptance Testing for Workday Financials functionality for Workday clients. Demonstrable experience of being able to troubleshoot complex Workday Financials configuration, data and security issues and ability to identify bugs/defects as well as the most efficient workarounds to resolve and optimize the business processes and controls within Workday. 3+ Workday Financials experience as a Workday implementer is required. Experience of using EIBs/Web Services. Experience of working in a Finance team with experience of core financial accounting processes and controls is required. Good understanding of financial/reg/stat reporting particularly in the Insurance industry would be highly desirable. Ability to create Workday Custom Reports, Calculated fields, condition rules, custom objects, custom fields is required. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with the relevant Product Owner/s, Workday implementation partner, senior management and end users across the business to provide your input on testing outcomes. Excellent organization and time management skills needed for this type of role. Education and Qualifications Current or historic Workday Financials certifications are required for example Financials Core, R2R, P2P, Report Writer, PRISM, Accounting Centre. Any testing qualifications are desirable. Experience as a Qualified Accountant is desirable. Accounting qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, ACA is desirable.
