Job Brief

They are seeking a dedicated Software Tester to identify bugs and issues within our products before they reach everyday users. The role involves supporting the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment, conducting both automated and manual tests to ensure the software is fit for purpose.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software developers and project support teams.
  • Monitor applications and software systems.
  • Perform stress testing, performance testing, functional testing, and scalability testing.
  • Write and execute test scripts.
  • Run manual and automated tests.
  • Test in various environments, including web and mobile.
  • Write detailed bug reports.
  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams.
  • Design tests to mitigate risks.
  • Present findings to software development and business user teams.
  • Manage release versions on a rota basis, ensuring completeness, timeliness, accuracy, and sign-off of software releases.
  • Undertake full regression test plans prior to release sign-off.
  • Create new Jira tickets for any identified bugs, features, and improvements from testing or client requests.
  • Update test plans to include new and amended functionality.


Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience using Selenium, NUnit, and JUnit.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competent technical skills.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
