Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive at inurface media, you'll play a pivotal role in driving new business by identifying prospects, building client relationships, and supporting market expansion efforts. You'll actively research opportunities, assist in generating new leads, and contribute to revenue growth. Working alongside the Head of Client Services, you’ll help execute strategic plans to meet monthly targets, all while developing your skills in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Support Business Growth: Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans to increase revenue and expand the company’s market presence, while learning about new business opportunities.
- Client Acquisition: Help identify and nurture new clients by supporting the client acquisition process, from researching prospects to managing initial communication.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct research into emerging market trends and competitor activity to help identify new sectors where the company’s products can add value.
- Support Strategic Planning: Assist the senior team in preparing monthly forecasts and strategic activity plans to generate new business opportunities aligned with company goals.
- Collaborative Team Work: Work closely with the client services and business development teams to foster a collaborative environment and ensure effective coordination on projects and client relationships.
- Client Relationship Development: Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and follow-up to meet client needs.
- Assist with Presentations: Support the preparation of presentations and product demonstrations for new clients, using relevant tools like PowerPoint.
- Product Knowledge Development: Learn and understand the company’s product portfolio to effectively support discussions with clients and understand how the products add value in different markets.
- Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and updates within the CRM system, ensuring data is up-to-date and accessible to the team.
- Continuous Learning: Actively seek opportunities to enhance your market knowledge and business development skills through mentorship and team collaboration.
Person specification
- 1 Year of Experience: Some experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within a technology, AV, or retail industry context.
- Basic Market Awareness: A foundational understanding of market trends and the ability to conduct basic research into new sectors and business opportunities.
- Client Engagement: Good communication skills with the ability to assist in building relationships with new potential clients and stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: A willingness to learn the technical aspects of the iuf group product offerings and how they fit into different market sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, as well as experience using CRM software.
- Team-Oriented: Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment, while also being able to take initiative on tasks.
- Organisational Skills: Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proactive Learner: Eagerness to learn and develop new skills, both independently and through mentorship from senior team members.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, with an ability to contribute to client presentations.
- Results-Driven: A proactive attitude towards achieving business development targets and contributing to the overall success of the team.
