Business Development Manager - Industrial UPS & Emergency Backup Generators

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our market presence in the UK for our range of industrial UPS and emergency backup generators. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic sales plans to target key accounts within the utilities, rail, and petrochemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the target industries.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market penetration.
  • Solution Selling: Understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions, including UPS systems and emergency generators.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of UPS systems, generators, and related technologies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Proposal Writing: Prepare compelling proposals and presentations to win new business.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Customer Focus: Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-lasting relationships.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the UPS or generator industry.
  • Deep understanding of the utilities, rail, and petrochemical sectors.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UPS systems, generators, and power distribution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and close deals.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK.
