Oaklands Global are currently recruiting a Production Manager on behalf of one of our clients based in Kent.


This is an exciting opportunity to take on and grow into a role with significant potential for development. The Production Manager role will enable the right candidate to make substantial contributions and noticeable changes to the production environment of a successful Aircraft Component company, established for over 60 years. The Production Manager will form a key part of a core team of management within a small company, accountable for future growth and realisation of opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Overseeing manufacturing and production processes; Creating and executing daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
  • Determining production tooling and equipment needs and taking responsibility for its maintenance.
  • Driving innovation throughout all elements of production.
  • Consulting with suppliers on manufacturing projects; Implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
  • Implementing company procedures and policies.
  • Communicating any problems or obstacles to top management and assisting with resolution.
  • Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control and producing KPIs.
  • Maintaining a training matrix for manufacturing employees and tracking progress of training.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of applicable aerospace quality standards.
  • Implementing and adhering to Health and Safety Requirements.


Key Requirements

  • Able to work with initiative and without constant supervision.
  • Desire to achieve and continuously improve systems and processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail; Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Data analysis and statistical aptitude.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Highly conscientious and diligent.
  • Previous production management experience, minimum 2 years.
