Consumer Additions are proud to be partnered with a global consumer goods business to source for them an International Business Manager. Since their inception, this brand has continued to innovate and ingeniously design premium homeware products that you can't find anywhere else. There's a good chance you have one of their products in your home.


On account of recent growth, they're looking to expand their business development team. You'll work closely with distributors to plan new product launches and maximise sales of existing products.


In this role you will:


  • Develop the strategic plan for the business and execute effectively, always looking to exceed budget.
  • Successfully manage new product introductions and category expansion.
  • Spearhead the growth of our International business by introducing new products, expanding categories, and extending distribution networks.
  • Collaborate closely with distribution partners to boost sales at key accounts across various market segments.
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to enhance processes continually.
  • Oversee and enhance the daily operations of the International business including sales, trade marketing, and promotions.
  • Champion a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship, emphasizing new opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
  • Cultivate high-level connections within distributor networks to deepen brand engagement and loyalty.
  • Maximize existing commercial partnerships and actively pursue new avenues for business development.
  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with distribution partners.
  • Establish and fortify the long-term presence of our brands in both retail stores and the broader market.
  • Provide valuable market insights and product feedback to inform future development initiatives.
  • Educate and inspire retailers while enhancing product knowledge within our distribution network.


You will ideally have:


  • Successfully business developed for a similar consumer or FMCG brand. If you're from a homeware brand that's a bonus.
  • Proficient in forecasting and budget management.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Experience handling major National and Regional accounts or distribution partners.
  • Knowledgeable in channel management across Grocery, Mass, Specialists, and Pure Play sectors.
  • Understanding of trade marketing strategies including sales planning and promotions.
  • Possess strong commercial acumen.
  • Collaborative team player who enhances team dynamics.
  • Organized, diligent, and self-motivated.
  • Energetic and results-driven.
  • Effective networker capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in commercial negotiations.
