Managing a regional BCA Partner Finance sales team in the designated region (South, Midlands, & North), the Commercial Manager is responsible for the management of revenue, customer relationships, new business, and a team of regional Area Sales Managers, alongside identifying, onboarding and growing our large dealer accounts within their appointed region.


The role will encompass multiple responsibilities including the acquisition of new accounts and the development and growth of the existing dealer base of large dealers. The individual will also need to be able to provide coaching and support to their team of Area Sales Managers and customers through regular account reviews and to one discussions.


Reporting into the Head of Commercial and supported by the Sales Support Manager the Commercial Manager will be allocated a dedicated region of responsibilities. The region will incorporate the postcodes within the South/Midlands/North regions.


Your key responsibilities will be:


  • and promote BCA Partner Finance to prospective new large dealer clients.
  • Management of existing large dealers, maintaining relationships to ensure retention and growth of existing accounts whilst seeking opportunities for growth.
  • BCA products and services and assisting with the delivery of any new BCA Partner Finance products or services.
  • an increased portfolio of large dealers to maintain a high level of service and to make sure those dealers are following the companies (BCA’s) standards and guidelines.
  • strong internal BCA relationships to ensure our business partner/relationships deliver the correct level into the business.
  • reporting including weekly Pipeline and Activity Reports
  • conferences, training courses and sales meetings at any location within the region or UK with prior notice.
  • sales targets within your dedicated region are achieved to the KPIs.
  • Management: Manage, and/or escalate any identified risks in relation to BCA Partner Finance internal risk policies and external regulations.
  • closely and effectively with all departments within BCA Partner Finance, and all areas of the larger BCA business.



To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


  • be successful in the role you must be a self-motivated sales target led individual who has good commercial skills and credit awareness alongside excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • and a proven background of managing, supporting, and developing a strong and stable sales team.
  • excellent communicator at board level with strong influencing skills encouraging dealers and business investors to increase the penetration levels and be able to train and develop their salespeople to increase revenue.
  • and successfully produce and deliver compelling sales presentations to key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • automotive industry knowledge, particularly with a strong used vehicle retail sales background. Knowing the intricate workings of sales departments within dealerships.
  • in-depth knowledge of vehicle stock funding, and ideally auction processes.
  • proven track record in developing business relationships and have a sales background. You must be structured, a strong closer and driven to achieve to results.
  • analyse and interpret financial information, e.g. company accounts, management accounts and future sales projections.
  • and proven business acumen.
  • understanding of legal processes with regards to agreements, legal charges, and security.
  • and knowledge of external organisational structures, competitors’ products, etc.
  • and share market intelligence for business development and planning to maximise revenue income and vehicle sales.
  • analytical and problem solving skills.
  • to assess ‘risk’ situations and act accordingly, developing/executing action plans to mitigate risk.
