Business Systems Customer Experience Developer

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Dynamics 365 Customer Experience Developer will be responsible for creating custom solutions that enhance the functionality of the Dynamics 365 CE applications. By using a variety of tools and techniques, including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and PowerPlatform, you will build robust solutions tailored to meet the business needs and support the technologic strategy.
The role will work closely with both the CE Functional Analyst, the Business Systems Manager, and the Lead Tester to estimate effort required for development and testing, plan in the work and remediation after testing, and bringing code changes through CAB for approval before deployment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Customise and configure Dynamics 365 CE, utilising out-of-the-box functionalities and creating custom entities, workflows, business rules, and plugins
- Deploying changes through pipelines in DevOps, and ensuring any production changes are brought to CAB for approval before being deployed
- Develop custom components and integrations using various technologies and integrate with external systems via APIs.
- Ensure solutions meet quality standards through unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests (UAT), addressing any issues that arise.
- Optimise system performance and implementing efficiency enhancements through code changes.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection regulations, implementing role-based security and data encryption.
- Continuously improve the system, ensuring all development is tested and stable through version upgrades, and making changes where required to facilitate twic yearly upgrades.
- Maintain thorough documentation of solutions and processes, including customisations, configurations, code changes, and integration points
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years across Dynamics CE applications (CRM, Marketing, Customer Service, Portal)
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and related Microsoft technologies, with demonstrated experience in developing, and deploying complex solutions.
- Experience of process alignment to out of box functionality
- Development tools (Visual Studio, PowerPlatform CLI, XrmToolBox, Postman)
- Experience in global delivery environment and working within a remote team.
- Experience of working in DevOps and deploying through pipelines
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFCATIONS
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on addressing complex technical issues and providing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders and translate technical concepts clearly.
- Documentation Proficiency: Ability to produce detailed and accurate technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and system maintenance.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Core certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform certifications (optional but beneficial).
- Relevant experience in implementing and supporting Dynamics 365 CE solutions.
- Continuous professional development to stay current with Microsoft technologies and certifications.
