About The Role

Here at Morrisons we are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to drive the success of Anaplan across our Finance function. You will be responsible for the pro-active management of our FP&A systems roadmap in agreement with senior finance leadership, overseeing successful model implementation and ongoing management, leading system development for FP&A and broader finance processes.


You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the successful implementation of new Anaplan models and system updates, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal disruption.
  • Oversee the ongoing management and maintenance of existing Anaplan models, regularly reviewing and optimising performance.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Anaplan models, processes, and system configurations for future reference.
  • Ensuring the Anaplan implementation and management are carried out within budgetary constraints.
  • Track project expenses and provide financial reports to senior finance leadership on Anaplan-related expenditures.
  • Evaluate the return on investment (ROI) of Anaplan initiatives and present financial justifications for future projects.
  • Collaborate with Finance leaders and stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure Anaplan models meet their needs effectively.
  • Work closely with process owners to ensure accurate and relevant financial models that align with business objectives.


About You

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the Anaplan platform, including model building, integration, data import/export, and security settings.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling techniques, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis using Anaplan.
  • Understanding of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels, convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience leading successful Anaplan implementations, managing the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering to user adoption.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Anaplan models, including system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Previous experience working closely with Finance leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective Anaplan solutions.
  • Track record of collaborating with product owners, IT teams, and other departments to deliver integrated solutions and achieve organisational goals.
