ABOUT THE ROLE:


We're looking for a dynamic New Product Development Manager who can balance hands-on involvement with strategic thinking. You’ll play a crucial role as we approach production on a new range of products across a wide breadth of product categories including nail colour, nail care, skincare, tools and accessories. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where every voice matters and creativity is encouraged.


  • Product Strategy: Use your consumer and market understanding to develop new product proposals for Townhouse. Continually look for and consider opportunities to introduce novel and innovative product, packaging & creative ideas into the product portfolio.
  • Trend Reporting: Keep up to date with the latest beauty trends. Key to this is a good understanding of how beauty is evolving on social media i.e. Tik Tok, Instagram etc.
  • Consumer Insight: Build consumer insight and response into all development programmes ensuring that new products delight our consumers.
  • Formulation and Manufacturing: Work with formulation and manufacturing partners. Project manage new product development programmes via these partners.
  • Packaging Design: Work closely with nominated creative agencies to develop all necessary pack and graphic requirements.
  • Data Analytics: Utilise data to monitor performance and KPI’s of new products, building learning into future product development programmes.
  • Collaborative working: Be a key partner to colleagues across the organisation, working closely with finance, supply chain, customer service and marketing teams as necessary to improve our efficiency and performance.


ABOUT YOU:


You will have experience as a New Product Development Manager, with a passion for beauty, and good understanding of the process needed to bring exciting and innovative new products to highly engaged consumers.


  • Innovative and relevant product development experience, in the beauty and personal care industry from conception to execution.
  • A background in colour cosmetics is a bonus but not essential.
  • Passionate about beauty, persistently keeping up to date with the latest trends and product launches in the beauty industry.
  • Good aesthetic sense, with ability to contribute to the creative direction on key programmes.
  • Ability to create amazing concepts and bring forward a lot of fresh new ideas for new product launches.
  • Pro-active, organised, detail-oriented with good project-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A team player who effectively connects, collaborates and fosters an inclusive environment.


LOCATION:


Our office is based in Central London and we offer a hybrid working model, based on the requirements of the role.
