Job Summary: The International Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion on a global scale. The International Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, ensure customer satisfaction, and work towards achieving the company's sales objectives in various international markets.


Key Responsibilities:


Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential markets and customer needs.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets in international markets.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales strategies.

Sales Team Management:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the international sales team, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide training, support, and performance feedback to the sales team members.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for the sales team.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals with international clients.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships in international markets.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and sales leads.
  • Attend international trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company's products and services.

Sales Operations and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in international markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to align sales efforts with local market needs and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in international sales management, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving market expansion.
  • Strong understanding of international trade regulations, market dynamics, and cultural differences.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
