Our client are a specialist Publisher in the shipping industry are looking to add a Account Manager on a full time permanent basis. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for building strong client relationships and driving sales within a busy team.


Responsibilities:


  • Handling inbound calls from customers, providing sales information and customer support
  • Dealing with customer queries, quotes and pro formas quickly and efficiently on a daily basis
  • Processing sales orders using industry software
  • Reporting the end of day sales figures
  • Dealing with daily invoicing and credits
  • Processing returns
  • Ordering third party publications
  • Ensuring the shipment of subscription products on a bimonthly / 6 monthly basis
  • Contacting external customers regarding new publications and updates
  • Assisting with Corporate Sales tasks
  • Maintaining regular contact with resellers
  • Updating database
  • Covering the Reception desk when required
  • General office administration
  • Any other activities that the company requires


Person Spec (Skills/Knowledge and Experience required)


  • Must have 3 – 5 years of sales/Account management experience
  • Strong IT skills and adaptability to working with the relevant software and business management packages
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Collaborative – works closely with management and staff across the business
  • The ability to work effectively in a team as well as being a self-starter
  • To be able to communicate at all levels and in a knowledge-led manner
  • To be dynamic and energetic in approach
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Be flexible, hard-working and keen to learn
  • Good time management skills
  • Possess excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Salary, Conditions, Benefits


  • Salary £30,000
  • Full time hours: 37.5 per week – Monday to Friday – Start time between 8am – 10am Flexible
  • After 3 month probation period trialing 4 day working week meaning you will only need to work 30 hours per week however be paid for 37.5
