The Role

We are looking for an omni-channel Communications and Connections Planner initially on a 12 month contract, who will act as consultant to our client, a leading multi-market, multi-brand CPG business. You will play a pivotal part in rolling out and onboarding teams and partners to the executional phase of a new comms planning process globally.


Focusing on 3 key areas, you will be tasked with:

  1. Embedding the new comms planning process with identified pilot markets and brand teams, onboarding them into the recommended approach and guidance by facilitating face to face and virtual workshops and regular check-ins.
  2. With support from stakeholders, change the ways of working between partners, brand teams and discipline leads by transforming how they manage brief responses, identify links between omnichannel connections points and utilise data to identify and target media audiences
  3. Delivering connected omnichannel activations across paid, owned and earned media, shopper, PR, events, digital and other channels, into a cohesive connections planning process


What will you be doing?

  • Connections planning: this role will act as a key lead for how we approach connected activation, feeding into ways of working on brief response processes and campaign development across multiple stakeholders, markets, and brands.
  • Digital/Data integration through to activation: acting as a Consultant to brand teams and partners to bring their omnichannel Connections Plans to life.
  • Programme management: working closely with the Lead, you will set the what now and next agenda ensuring the project is kept on track, but also stretch and evolve the work by identifying the client’s needs and isolating areas for development and scope growth
  • Innovation: your voice will be as a critical stakeholder who guides and consults the business on where they can further advance and extract value and opportunities
  • Market & stakeholder management: key point of contact for stakeholders and local market strategic guidance; a guiding presence helping build on local nuances, whilst driving cohesiveness with global delivery of the new connections planning process. Cascading programme best practices to local market strategy teams and coordinating global deliverables


Skills and experience we’d like you to have

  • Experience in omnichannel connections planning with an integrated 360 view of marketing, skewed to comms planning and digital media
  • CPG category expertise desired or relevant experience in global client-side teams working with multi-market, multi-brand requirements
  • Digital planning experience, understanding how digital and data can be used to bridge omnichannel connection points
  • Digital knowledge, specifically e-commerce, search, programmatic/display and social, within connections plans
  • Specialist knowledge and experience with using marketing for good and a passion for sustainability, diversity and inclusion
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and strategic thinking and programme delivery
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to create engaging, thought-provoking content
  • Stakeholder management skills and experience managing, inspiring and coaching a matrixed and multi-cultural virtual team
  • Comfortable working in agile and fast-paced environments


Other Information

This is an initial contract for 12 months. Although this position sits within Responsible Marketing Agency, the day-to-day role would sit as ‘agency in-house’ working directly with the client and key global stakeholders, therefore the successful candidate will often need flexibility in availability to accommodate meeting requests that cross time zones. There may be some travel involved in this role.
