Job Description

We’re recruiting for a C Sharp Software Developerto join our application support and development team. The ideal candidate will contribute towards current EUC’s upgrade, add features, solve bugs, improve how we work and ultimately deliver valuable, high quality software to our customers.

As a Systems Development & Support Analyst, successful candidate will be responsible for providing a variety of development & support activities in line with the services we provide - with a focus on analysing how the systems and processes work, as well as providing testing and technical assistance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering medium-sized, clean, maintainable features and solutions, resolve end-to end issues with an understanding of different possible approaches
  • Conducting code reviews with an emphasis on functionality and other non-functional requirements, such as maintainability and security
  • Contributing to your team's approaches to deployment, monitoring and operations, so that we can easily release and run performant and resilient systems in production
  • Attending and contributing to all team events, with a focus on improvement
  • With a challenging Programme of Work, you will be assigned to one or more initiatives, liaising with third parties as well as all areas within LGIM and the wider L&G Group
  • Engagingat all stages of the project & service lifecycle, with the opportunity to see process/system changes right the way through from design to early life support
  • Ensuringthat service delivery is consistent with business needs and user requirements
  • Championing of Continual Service Improvement, proactively striving to improve the services we provide

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • ITIL Service Management (or equivalent)
  • Strong C# development skills combined with SQL
  • VBA (MS Access and MS Excel)
  • .NET Framework, Azure DevOps
  • Appreciation of the Retail Investments and the regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodology and CI/CD
  • Being collaborative and enjoy sharing knowledge as well as learning
