This essential role forms part of the Infrastructure Server team reporting to the Server Domain Manager. Sitting within the Technology department and working collaboratively with business stakeholders and other Infrastructure teams, this role will use Infrastructure expertise to shape and produce valuable support for the successful delivery of the Technology strategy.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in monitoring who is passionate about technology, bringing fresh ideas and driving the continuous improvement culture within the infrastructure server team.

An opportunity to join a highly technical team tasked with ensuring that Quilter's server and virtualisation estate is operational, performant, secure and supportable.

The role entails working closely with other support teams, service providers and management functions alike.

Whilst being able to support all areas covered by the team the key focus to the role will be around effective monitoring of the environment through the use of Azure Monitor and SCOM.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of problem solving and using technology to automate and improve monitoring capabilities within a hybrid environment.

As Quilter embark on a cloud first strategy this will provide an opportunity to design and implement a modern monitoring approach from the ground up, demonstrating your in-depth knowledge and skills to deploy a best of breed solution.

The successful candidate will be a person who takes ownership and feels accountable for results. Enjoys working as part of a team and can communicate clearly to both technical and senior audiences.

The individual will default to sharing knowledge, be self-motivated, organised and have energy and drive to succeed.

Your extensive experience as part of a server support team will enable you to demonstrate your skills of all modern Windows Server operating systems, hypervisors including VMware and Hyper-V, and Active Directory.

With a focus on monitoring of both cloud and on-premise infrastructure you will have significant experience with Azure Monitor and at least a working knowledge of supporting a SCOM environment.

You will be able to articulate how you have used your skills in monitoring to overcome challenges in previous roles and will be proficient with PowerShell and automation.
