Purpose


The Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing will manage the commercial operations across our 2 London properties.


Main Duties


  • Develop the strategic objectives related to both the sales and marketing function in corroboration with the Managing Director
  • Create and implement yearly marketing plans for promotional events and product launches for each property
  • Establish partnerships in order to increase revenue and sales for each property
  • Create brand awareness and position for each property
  • Maintain awareness of current and future competitors product, pricing and marketing programs to be in a position to proactively response to market conditions
  • Responsible for all market segment sales strategies & actions for the London properties (including rooms, restaurants, bars, spa and private event space)
  • Build positive working relationships with revenue management and all departments within the properties
  • Responsible for all Marketing & Public Relations for the London properties - liaison and inclusion in meetings and strategy
  • Responsible for the Revenue Management and Reservations teams for London.
  • Daily management of the Sales & Marketing division, including goal setting & monitoring, proactivity, administration and database management
  • Provide leadership and direction to a talented team, ensuring consistency and quality of output whilst maintaining morale and engagement with the business
  • Defining the cadence and creating the campaigns that will power brand awareness and drive sales, through carefully considered use of creativity, consumer relevant messaging and a media mix that is both functional and meaningful to the needs of the marketplaces and the target consumer
  • Develop compelling campaigns and B2B initiatives
  • Leading the weekly Forecast/Strategy meeting and ensuring that any actions for the Sales and Marketing Teams are carried out
  • Leadership of the RFP systems & GDS Rate loading for the properties
  • Sales trips & industry event participation in line with the COMO Sales Action Plan
  • Participation in the Planning Committee team for COMO Metropolitan London and COMO The Halkin
  • Creates a working relationship that emphasize a high degree of professionalism and openness of inter departmental communications and understanding
  • Proactively suggest and comment on products, hardware and service-related soft issues that result in higher guest satisfaction
  • Makes sure that all Sales & Marketing functions such as Sales, PR, Digital, Marketing, and Loyalty are aligned according to the financial goals & in terms of quality, message and timing
  • Direct and coordinate the Marketing activities needed for the sales, catering, groups & events, and reservations teams to maximize revenues
  • To prioritize Sales & Marketing support according to prevailing and anticipated market conditions by allocating resources and funds against areas which will provide the hotel with the most efficient revenue performance
  • Prepare- in conjunction with the Managing Director monthly/ yearly Sales & Marketing Budget and forecasts
  • Provides monthly financial & performance updates on Owners' reports regarding all hotel actions
  • Selects and manages PR and creative agencies for the local and international market according to the need of the property. Briefs the agencies about competitive analyses, key messages, positioning, marketing & communication programs, and award expectations
  • Prepares the sales updates throughout the year in order to maximize positive performance.
  • Attendance of roadshows or travel shows, secures media, showcasing the hotel's main USPs and highlighting competitive advantages, resulting in coverage and or relationship/network building
  • Chooses local and international bloggers and influencers strategically to create the digital exposure at high momentum
  • Ensure all photography is up to date & refreshed – resulting in driving traffic to the web site
  • Is responsible of all the collateral’s, bespoke package of the hotel, all are designed and produced within COMO Guidelines
  • Oversees the tone of voice and production quality of bespoke production items and high end rich digital content
  • Liaise with relevant departments to design and implement the marketing plans in coordination with the respective departments to plan promotions to drive traffic and revenue
  • Ensure all collaterals, advertising and press releases are printed and issued in time to secure coverage
