The role


**This role is based in Doha, Qatar. We are looking for someone to join our team full-time or on a shorter-term contract to support a range of exciting projects this autumn/winter. This opportunity includes an attractive expat package.**


In the second half of the year, our Qatar-based client will be launching multiple global projects, including events across sport, culture and technology. We are recruiting for an experienced consultant in strategic communications and marketing to support the entire process of our work, from planning to execution, ensuring all outputs meet the highest standard. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about planning and supporting live events, ready to tackle challenges as they arise, and committed to delivering top-quality work within tight deadlines.


In this role you will:


  • Manage our project-based work with a government sector client in Qatar.


  • Combine strategic communications, PR, marketing, and digital to deliver high-level projects with an international remit – from concept to execution.


  • Spend most of your time working with one client across a broad range of tasks, building trust and confidence by working face-to-face with colleagues and senior client leads.


  • Be responsible for structuring the timelines and work programmes for our client’s most exciting projects, including influencer campaigns, international sporting events, and digital-first marketing campaigns.


  • Be the most organised person on these projects, making sure the work our client receives is of the highest quality.


  • Have opportunities for professional development within the existing work but also as we seek to grow the company.


  • Maintain our company culture and develop our people, including the management of junior staff.


Essential


  • 3-6 years of experience with an impressive portfolio of work demonstrating your ability to work for high-level clients across numerous marketing and communications disciplines.


  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to project manage fast-paced projects, recognising when escalation is needed.


  • Ability to manage time, meet agreed deadlines, and be accountable and responsible for work.


  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and user expectations is a must.


  • Strong capability across PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and PDF templates for presentations and documents.


  • Degree/diploma in a relevant field.


  • Fluent English speaker.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.


  • Comfortable with complex assignments and collaborating within a diverse team.


  • Someone already in Qatar or with a strong interest in moving to the region.


Desirable but not essential


  • Keen interest or experience in the Middle East, Qatar, and foreign affairs.


  • Arabic speaker / second language.


  • Interest in influencer campaigns and sporting events.


  • Experience working in charity PR and marketing.


  • Experience working with graphic designers and managing complex design briefs.


  • Comfortable using project management software.


  • Social media marketing expertise.

Remuneration


The position offers an attractive and competitive salary package, including private health insurance and relocation costs for candidates based overseas.
