JOB PURPOSE


We are seeking a dynamic Head of Business Finance to join our team. The Head of Business Finance plays a crucial role in driving financial performance and supporting the company's business objectives through effective financial management and strategic decision-making.


The role is to oversee and manage the financial aspects of the company's business activities. This involves driving data organisation & systems to be fit for purpose, strategic planning, financial analysis, and decision-making to drive profitability and support business growth.


This role would suit someone looking to step up into a Head of position, with management experience with a solid Finance background.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Ensure a data organisation to support business decision making, enhancing systems, analytics and establishing dashboards to drive a culture of data centric decision making.


Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Developing and overseeing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for all brands, markets & operations. This involves analysing financial data to provide insights into the performance of different business activities.


Commercial Strategy Development: Working closely with the business teams to develop strategies that maximise revenue and profitability. This involves pricing strategies, product profitability analysis, and evaluating new business opportunities.


Financial Analytics & Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial analytics & reporting. This includes preparing financial statements, variance analysis, and presenting financial performance to senior management and stakeholders. Aligning & coordinating with the Financial Accounts department on metrics & measurements.


Business Partnering: Acting as a financial advisor and business partner to the company’s COO and stakeholders and providing insights and recommendations to support decision-making. This involves collaborating with Brands, Sales & Marketing, Operations and Financial Accounts teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.


Risk Management: Identifying and managing financial risks associated with commercial activities and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks.


Performance Measurement: Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business activities. This involves tracking sales measurements, profits & stock performance, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the success of commercial strategies.


Financial Forecast Modelling: Responsible for establishing key financial models in the assessment of new opportunities (new markets, new brands).


System & Processes improvement: working together with business stakeholders, the IT department, and Financial Accounts, drive systems analytics to be fit for business purpose, helping design automatized analytics dashboards, and reviewing data inputting and extraction processes when required.


REQUIREMENTS

• Problem-solving positive attitude

• Qualified accountant (CIMA preferred).

• Sector experience preferred

• Excellent people skills. Experience managing a small finance team

• Credible communicator

• Experience within a growth environment

• Highly driven individual with a hands-on mentality.
