We are looking for an energetic and well-rounded Customer Service Specialist to join our growing team in our Birmingham office in Coleshill.


Essential Job Functions:

As a Customer Service Specialist, you will have experience handling all processes involved in Export and Import shipments from inception through to final destination delivery, covering Sea & Air Freight. You are confident in your ability to review and streamline transportation processes and ensure a stable, efficient, and cost-effective portfolio of service providers to ensure Savino Del Bene's product offering is competitive and seamless. You will have up-to-date knowledge of carrier portfolio, documentation, customs procedures, and associated commercial conditions. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and can liaise with all relevant parties to ensure that customer expectations are met during the movement of cargo.


Requirements:

• Must have more than 5 years experience in a freight forwarding operational role either within Sea or Air Freight across either Exports or Imports

• Must be able to work on a shipment from first booking through to final delivery

• Highly customer service-focused with an accurate, uncompromising eye for detail

• Experience in import or export shipments

• You are required to have an excellent level of literacy and numeracy

• Communicate accurately and in a fast-paced, teamwork environment

• Computer literate and able to adapt to using in-house computer systems

• Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing conditions


Skills/Abilities:

• Teamwork and collaboration skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to use your initiative and commercial acumen

• Hands-on approach and can-do attitude
