MacGregor Black are partnering with a FMCG business, on the search for a HR Business Partner. This is a permanent role based in West Midlands.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Partner with senior leadership to understand and execute the organisation’s HR and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Collaborate with recruitment teams to support the hiring process, ensuring the attraction of top talent.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals, and consultation with line managers.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organisation.
  • Drive the performance management process, including goal setting, development plans, and performance reviews.
  • Provide performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).


What are we looking for?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources,
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven HR experience (5+ years) in a similar role, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with HR metrics and HRIS systems.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the FMCG industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High ethical standards and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
