Commercial Manager


Salary:

£70-85k + Bonus, 4 days a week in London

Our client are a leading digital transformation and innovation firm dedicated to enhancing public services through technology.


The Role:

As a Commercial Manager, you will work with the Commercial Director to manage and support a variety of contracts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing IT services, service reform, transition & transformation programs, and continuous service improvement.
  • Supporting the development and smooth running of governance arrangements.
  • Moderating risks regarding service penalties.
  • Securing opportunities for new services and margin improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to manage all contracts.
  • Ensure project and delivery teams understand all aspects of the contracts.
  • Address delays or deviations from the plan appropriately.
  • Govern all contract changes.
  • Review Statements of Work, Change Control Notes, and Change Requests.
  • Ensure direct sub-contractors are documented and managed.
  • Identify opportunities for contract expansion and develop commercially innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards.
  • Identify and document risks and opportunities clearly.


About You:

You are an experienced professional with a proven track record in financial and commercial management of large IT contracts. You thrive in changing and uncertain environments and excel in stakeholder management.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management of in-life IT contracts.
  • Strong track record in developing and delivering projects and programmes.
  • Experience with public-private strategic partnerships.
  • Understanding of project delivery methodologies for IT and business transformation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities and mitigations.
