The General Manager for London at will lead and manage all aspects of the local business, including people management, full P&L ownership, team building, and strategic growth. This role requires a strong leader with a focus on driving operational efficiency, profitability, and market expansion in a dynamic, tech-enabled environment.

  • We are partnering with a Series D-funded, technology-enabled scale-up headquartered in the US and operating across 30+ countries, to appoint a General Manager who will drive the expansion of their rapidly growing business in London
  • Specialising in both B2B and B2C services through their cutting-edge tech platform, this company currently valued at $1bn is on an accelerated growth path, with London set as a key priority for their next phase of development.

Description

  • Building and scaling a top-performing team.
  • Establishing city-specific priorities and goals, and driving performance through well-defined KPIs and incentive structures on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Uncovering new opportunities and tailoring the business model to align with local market needs.
  • Shaping and disseminating best practices across the network to continuously enhance global operational efficiency.
  • Representing the company at local PR and networking events.
  • Collaborating closely with Product, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Client Experience teams to address the unique demands of the local market.

Profile

  • Proven experience in general management or operations roles.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management abilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating others.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach coupled with a results-driven mindset.
  • Deep expertise in P&L management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical acumen, with the capacity to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Background in strategy consulting Bain, Mckinsey, BCG
  • Experience in a high growth start-up environment
