Hera are partnered with a 4x award-winning startup in the Finacial Services space that have taken their industry by storm and whilst they've had an incredibly successful couple of years, the best is yet to come, and the creation of a new Technical Operations Manager role, is just one of their most recent exciting developments.


This position is certainly unique and whilst it doesn't fit neatly into a specific business domain, which of course is something that is synonymous with startup life, it offers the opportunity for someone to play a crucial role in the company's security journey and standards.


Reporting to the CTO, you'll put your Technical Operations skills to work by creating strategies and developing long term plans that ultimately, will play a pivotal part in shaping the future success of the business.


So, how will the role of Technical Operations Manager take shape?


  • You'll be the face of the company when it comes to all things Security, taking total ownership for things like leading on achieving a SOC 2 certification and being responsible for all things compliance
  • You'll be excited by the prospect of championing security for all those in the wider business. You'll create agendas, capture outputs, initiate conversations with a variety of stakeholders to embed the culture of security
  • Your day to day role will see you reviewing and embedding internal and external policies and processes and providing in depth internal and external audit support
  • You'll own and drive all things related to risk management
  • You'll have full responsibility for managing 3rd party IT management partners and will ensure all SLAs are being met
  • You'll work hand in hand with the DevOps team on internal identity management processes, including starters, leavers and other change processes
  • You'll work closely with the Marketing team to provide technical support of the company's Wordpress based website, including capturing site analytics

  • You're someone who gets excited about security and compliance and has taken on the role of 'technical operations manager' previously
  • You have proven experience working in a highly regulated and technical environment
  • You're used to working in a startup and have experience wearing multiple 'hats' to support business goals
  • You have experience of SaaS web based cloud solutions
  • You can forge strong business relationships at every level, from C-Suite right through to more junior members of the team


In return for your contributions to this fantastic, female led business, you’ll receive:


  • £60,000k (depending on experience)
  • Remote first, flexible working, but there is an office in London which of course, you are very welcome to go into
