We’re seeking a skilled Credit Control Manager to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team and improving financial efficiency across debt management, collections, and reconciliation processes. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing cash flow, reducing unallocated cash, and ensuring accurate, timely billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of three to achieve departmental goals.

• Debt Management: Drive improvements in debt ageing, collections, and reconciliations, especially with local authorities.

• Cash Flow Improvement: Assist in forecasting and managing receipts, aligning cash flow to monthly targets.

• Process Enhancement: Refine debt collection practices and update templates for efficiency.

• Reporting: Prepare debt analysis reports and develop strategies for future collections.

• Collections: Oversee resident debt collection and coordinate with solicitors on significant debts.

• Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate completion of billing paperwork.

• Financial Close: Work with management accounts to close down debt ledgers at month-end and year-end.

Skills Required:

• Experience: Strong background in credit control, cash collection, or finance management, with essential skills in reconciliation, billing, and debt management.

• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Problem Solving: Skilled at identifying and resolving issues proactively.

• Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills are essential.

• Communication: Excellent internal and external communication abilities.

• Leadership: Capable of motivating and guiding a team.

• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the care industry is desirable but not essential.
