We are looking for an experienced residential conveyancer to help build and grow our in-house conveyancing practice. Our cutting-edge technology helps streamline the conveyancing process, enabling fee earners to do their best work and keep clients and third parties updated throughout the transaction.
The role is creative, entrepreneurial and requires a sharp technical skill-set. Additionally, your clients will be generated through Habito’s existing brokerage business and related services, removing the burden of having to source business leads yourself.
If you’re motivated by a challenge, this is the place for you.

- Handling the sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties. Experience in re-mortgages, new-build developments and government schemes is also required.
- Experience of acting for lenders as well as your client is necessary.
- You will manage your own caseload and also provide feedback to our technical teams on ways that the technology can be adapted to best suit your needs.
- Commercial property experience is desirable but not required.
- You’ll use your strong communication and collaboration skills to harness the best of your technical conveyancing knowledge and experience, to work as part of a close team delivering results against ambitious deadlines
- You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, looking to challenge industry norms and work with our internal teams to constantly improve the customer proposition
More about you:
- You are an English law qualified solicitor or licenced conveyancer with experience of working on residential property transactions.
- You will enjoy thinking creatively about traditional concepts and have the ability to work efficiently and proactively, taking the initiative and managing time well to prioritise work.
- You will have great communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
The benefits
- Competitive salary (dependent upon experience)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Work from anywhere, for up to 2 weeks a year
- Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
- Life assurance
- Career progression - we help you build your career
- Contributory pension scheme - We have an ethical pension fund, but you can decide where you put your money
- Casual dress
- 2 x paid volunteering days each year
