GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

ROLE DEFINITION

Location: London, United Kingdom

Mission:

As a key member of the Global Leadership team, the Business Development Director will develop and execute a world-class Go-To-Market strategy to enhance brand growth, profitability, and consumer awareness across all channels and markets. This role will guide local market teams in implementing strategies while ensuring a seamless omnichannel approach focused on the customer. It demands a highly strategic and collaborative leader with a proven track record in business growth and brand building. The role oversees Business Development, International Marketing, and Analytics functions, reporting directly to the Global General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Define and execute Go-To-Market strategies, including market priorities, growth drivers, and expansion plans.
  • Collaborate with local market teams to implement global strategies effectively.
  • Assess and evaluate new markets, channels, and retail formats for potential expansion.
  • Build a deep understanding of market needs and feed insights into future planning and product development.
  • Facilitate strong communication between global and local teams, ensuring alignment and best practices across regions.
  • Evaluate opportunities for new retail spaces, including pop-ups and events.
  • Partner with design teams to ensure retail formats meet business objectives.
  • Oversee assortment and pricing strategies tailored to market demands.

International Marketing:

  • Work closely with the General Manager to design marketing strategies that align with global brand goals.
  • Support market teams in executing localized marketing initiatives with excellence.
  • Drive strategies to optimize performance across all sales channels, including wholesale and educational platforms.
  • Facilitate collaboration between marketing, creative, and retail design teams.

Business Analysis and Performance:

  • Analyze global distribution and performance metrics, presenting findings in quarterly reviews.
  • Proactively address operational risks, such as supply chain challenges.
  • Collaborate with demand planning teams to maximize forecasting accuracy and sales opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Experience:

  • Significant experience in the beauty, luxury, or consumer goods industries in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive landscape, ideally with experience in skincare.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement Go-To-Market strategies and execute brand plans.

Languages: English

Competencies:

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build growth roadmaps and scale brands.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly analytical with a talent for translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of luxury consumers and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel globally (20-30%).
