Job Description

Portfolio Manager - Field Service and EAM Practice, is responsible for implementing the global strategy for the Project Managers within the assigned practice, while ensuring local alignment and meeting performance objectives. Portfolio Manager - Field Service and EAM leads a team of Project Managers within the Field Service Management and EAM Practice and works closely with the Practice SLT, the Regions, and the other Line Managers in the different practices.

This role will report to the Strategy & Operations Director within the Field Service Management and EAM Practice.

Essential duties and accountabilities

  • Ensure Project Managers within the practice follow the established processes and best practices.
  • Line manage the Project Managers team, providing leadership, direction and motivation to the team
  • Manage performance of the team
  • In conjunction with the other Practice line managers, take measured and informed decisions about resource allocations locally, making decisions in the best interests of our Customers and IFS
  • Involvement in regional project resource and resource escalation calls
  • Communicate practice requirements for the practice to the SLT
  • Present proposals for continuous process improvement in the use of tools and methodology
  • Create and update global standard templates, tools and other relevant documentation
  • Work closely with SLT to ensure new practices are rolled out, adopted and are successfully adding value to our customers.
  • Work closely with the SLT to build and share industry knowledge amongst the Functional Consultants group
  • Recruitment and team development of the Project Managers team

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Project Manager's practice and be able to speak and present to a very high standard.
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature.
  • Remain familiar and up to date with all aspects of the Services portfolio and be able to communicate this effectively.
  • Possess strong people management skills
  • Live the IFS values
  • 5 years experience as a Project Manager
  • Previous team leader/management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in English Language and local language
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple functions and geographical locations in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to act as a delivery sponsor on key accounts, representing IFSwithin the appropriate governance framework.
  • Open to limited travelling as required
