Our client is a well known and highly regarded name in the art world, representing artists across the world. We are seeking an individual to join in the role of Finance Associate, to play an essential role in ensuring accurate P&L recognition and reporting across the revenue cycle. The successful candidate will own reporting commissions to the group's artists on a timely basis, ensuring the information recorded in the finance system reflects the underlying contractual agreements in place with the artists. The Finance Associate will also play a role in P&L oversight, helping the business to ensure that revenue and cost recognition is accurate, whilst contributing to the maintenance of sales analysis.


Responsibilities

  • Generate artist commission statements on a global basis and in line with underlying terms & sales information
  • Ensure the accuracy of information across various financial systems
  • Actively contribute to the improvement sales reporting across all international locations
  • Actively drive process improvements, with a focus on Artist and Sales reporting
  • Ensure that ledger and artist statements are accurate with regard to any payments made
  • Act as a busines partner to both the sales and operations teams
  • Analysis of financial information to create reports to support decision making across the business
  • Support the rest of the finance department on priority activities as required


Skills

  • A finance professional who is comfortable with ambiguity and who can solve problems in order to successfully complete tasks and projects
  • A detailed focus on reporting, with the ability to spot obvious errors in data and reports
  • High levels of initiative and a natural ability to drive continuous improvement with regard to processes and systems
  • A clear interest in art and the art world
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
  • An understanding of how to best prioritise tasks in a highly dynamic environment, without compromising accuracy
  • Highly proficient with Excel as well as an ability to quickly learn new systems
