This is a full time position based out of Central London offices.



Role Description

The successful candidate will be a key member of the team which has responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting of the internal group of companies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and production of monthly management and annual statutory accounts
  • Processing invoices and expenses
  • Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
  • Month-end and year-end financial reporting
  • Monitoring cash flow and providing regular updates
  • Processing payroll and liaising with payroll provider
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Maintaining a good level of technical accounting knowledge to ensure that accounts are prepared correctly and in line with the relevant accounting standards
  • Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met without exception
  • Balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with best practice
  • Journal processing, including ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and prepayments
  • Variance analysis
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Liaising with the banks and other external counterparties
  • VAT and Corporate Tax compliance and filing for all internal corporate entities


There would be a range of ad-hoc functions that the Finance Associate would be expected to cover as the business grows and the breadth of services develop. However, at every step of the way the Finance Associate would be closely guided, supported, and actively encouraged by the core team to deliver the best possible service. The core ethos of the team is attention to detail coupled with constant and continual improvement. We preserve and nurture the best aspects of the service whilst constantly improving and upgrading the aspects that need attention.


The company is looking for an ideal candidate with the following skills, capabilities, and attributes:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management preferably in financial services sector
  • High level Excel skills and accounting software Sage, Xero or QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organized, prioritising and planning own workload and being proactive
  • Prior experience of VAT returns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Report writing, preparing client documentation, client enquiries, processing client applications and instructions, and record-keeping
  • Identifying areas for improvement to maximise efficiency and effectively maintain an excellent client experience
  • Working collaboratively and proactively across the team in different offices to support and assist colleagues, maintaining effective relationships
