Reporting to the Divisional Director and part of the Specialist Markets Management Team, the General Manager for Specialist Site Services has full responsibility for all aspects of the Business Unit’s commercial activity. This incorporates Operations, Business Development, Marketing and P & L performance.



Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the creation of the Specialist Site Services business unit
  • Create and effectively communicate the business strategy
  • Generate sustainable growth, revenue and margin through the effective management of all the business unit resources
  • All aspects of leading and developing a team - resource planning, objectives setting, measuring performance, training & development and coaching
  • Develop and embed a culture of HSE, Quality and Customer Service across the area
  • Work with Suppliers, Customers and internal stakeholders to identify new commercial opportunities, e.g. new equipment launches or additional product / service offerings, and ensure they are maximised.
  • Liaise with Marketing Department and Business Development Teams to generate and maintain the necessary market awareness and customer engagement activity
  • Ensure all aspects of the business units activity are fully compliant with relevant legislation and / or sector requirements



What We’re Looking For


  • Proven experience of successfully working in a similarly challenging commercial role, in sectors such as Communications, Security, Facilities Management or Site Services
  • A strong and confident leader, who will truly lead from the front and by example, whilst supporting and mentoring their direct reports
  • A change focused individual with a real appetite for the development and grow of the area
  • Excellent communicator
  • Comfortable with regular nationwide travel (driving licence essential) and overnight stays
  • High level of IT literacy
