By day, immerse yourself in the buzzing atmosphere of a chic Australian café, offering an enticing selection of breakfast favorites, brunch classics, and creative lunch specials. As the day progresses, delight in our homemade cakes and premium beverages, creating a warm and inviting space for all.

As night falls, witness the transformation into an elegant dinner venue, where our talented chefs, led by the innovative Rafal, craft exquisite dishes that marry Antipodean inspiration with the finest British produce. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the high standards of service and ambiance that make England's Grace a standout destination for all occasions.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Supervisor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations across our current two locations, with the primary focus on our flagship restaurant, England's Grace, located in St Johns Wood High Street. There is also potential for involvement in a third site in the future.

Primary Location: England's Grace, St Johns Wood High Street

Secondary Responsibilities: Oversight of our second location and potential future third site

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary supervisor for England's Grace, working alongside our General Manager, ensuring exceptional service and operational excellence
  • Provide support and oversight to our second location, maintaining consistency across both sites if and when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with our General Manager and Operations Director in all aspects of business operations for our flagship site
  • Lead teams confidently and gracefully, acting as the face of the business in the manager's absence
  • Manage front-of-house staffing, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient resource allocation
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality food and beverage service standards
  • Meet and exceed sales and profitability targets
  • Oversee inventory management and control
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and provide quality resolutions
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness and full compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Foster a nurturing and positive work environment
  • Promote and support career development opportunities for staff at all locations
  • Assist in the potential setup and integration of a third site, as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a multi-site role
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations and industry trends
  • Passionate about food and wine
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams across different locations
  • Excellent customer service and floor management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and make sound decisions under pressure in various environments
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
  • Forward-thinking and confident in approach to problem-solving
  • Hands-on attitude with a drive for excellence in all aspects of operations
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • Ability to travel between locations as needed
