As the Growth Manager (Self-Serve) for Unaric's product-led growth (PLG) offerings, you will drive strategies that leverage the product itself as the primary engine for customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. In this role, you'll combine growth hacking techniques with innovative marketing strategies to optimize user journeys, create viral loops, and drive user activation. Collaborating with Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams, you'll design and execute initiatives that maximize the product's impact, foster user advocacy, and unlock new revenue opportunities.


Key Objectives


  • Enhance User Acquisition: Use data-driven growth tactics and marketing strategies to attract and convert users through product experiences, reducing reliance on traditional sales methods.
  • Drive Activation & Retention: Implement targeted campaigns and user flows that quickly showcase product value, ensuring sustained engagement and lifetime value.
  • Fuel Organic Growth: Build mechanisms for user-driven referrals, virality, and community engagement, making the product a catalyst for exponential growth.

Responsibilities


Strategy & Execution
  • Develop PLG Strategies: Build and refine growth plans that integrate marketing and product initiatives, ensuring seamless acquisition and onboarding experiences.
  • Optimize Onboarding and Activation: Design and iterate user onboarding flows that minimize friction and accelerate time-to-value.
  • Experiment and Iterate: Drive growth hacking experiments to optimize acquisition, engagement, and retention through rapid A/B testing and user feedback loops.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional teams to align product enhancements with growth and marketing objectives.
  • Leverage Content & Messaging: Work with the Content Strategy Manager to create impactful in-app messaging, tutorials, and marketing materials to assist users in unlocking product value.
  • Community Building: Establish and scale user communities that foster advocacy, knowledge sharing, and organic growth.


Growth Marketing & Analytics
  • Optimize Conversion Funnels: Analyze and refine the self-serve product funnel to maximize activation, upsell, and retention opportunities.
  • User Behavior Analysis: Utilize tools like MixPanel, Hotjar, and Google Analytics to monitor user interactions, identify drop-off points, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Viral Mechanisms: Implement and scale viral growth features such as referral programs, sharing options, and network effects.
  • Marketing Campaigns: Launch targeted demand-generation campaigns, including email marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid social strategies, to attract and convert new users.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Continuously assess key performance indicators (KPIs) to refine strategies and inform resource allocation.


Profile and Essential Skills


  • Growth Expertise: Proven experience driving user acquisition and retention in SaaS environments using PLG strategies and growth marketing.
  • Marketing Savvy: Deep understanding of marketing channels, SEO, SEM, content marketing, and conversion optimization techniques.
  • Experimentation and Iteration: Experience designing and executing growth experiments with a hypothesis-driven approach.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools like MixPanel, Hotjar, and customer journey mapping platforms.
  • Community Leadership: Track record of building engaged communities that amplify product advocacy.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Analytical skills to turn insights into impactful growth initiatives and measure their success.


Success Metrics (First 3 Months)


  • Increased User Activation Rates: Boost the percentage of new users achieving key activation milestones.
  • Improved Retention: Enhance user retention rates through optimized onboarding and engagement tactics.
  • Growth Marketing ROI: Demonstrate ROI on growth marketing campaigns, including higher conversion rates and organic sign-ups.
  • Organic Referrals: Increase referral-based signups through viral features and advocacy campaigns.
