We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join this Michelin star, multi-AA Rosette awarded fine dining restaurant in Yorkshire. This prestigious role is designed for a culinary leader who excels in creating exceptional dishes and guiding a team towards continued Michelin recognition. Set in one of the UK's most picturesque settings, this Restaurant prides itself on a menu inspired by local, seasonal produce, offering a unique culinary experience.

Ideal Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a Michelin Star or similar high-standard culinary environment, ideally within a hotel setting
  • Expert knowledge of British cuisine, with proficiency in advanced culinary techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and present dishes that showcase seasonal availability and personal culinary style
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and leading a team to achieve culinary excellence
  • Exceptional organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to creating unparalleled dining experiences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire the kitchen team to uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus that highlight the best of British ingredients, utilising sophisticated culinary techniques
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring adherence to the highest standards
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering, and cost management to maximize profitability while maintaining quality
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment, mentoring kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
