Our client, a top-ranked law firm, seeks a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant for their Litigation department in Chiswick. This role involves supporting a senior solicitor with secretarial and administrative tasks, such as typing, preparing legal documents, and managing schedules.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial support to a Solicitor in the Litigation department.
  • Audio/copy typing of letters, attendance notes.
  • Prepare court forms/legal documents.
  • Book appointments, arrange meetings, and manage diaries.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, and other parties where required.
  • Attend to clients in person and on the phone.
  • Handle file opening, closing, and retrieval procedures.
  • Electronic and manual filing of documents.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and assist with case administration and preparation.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Prepare and render bills.


Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Legal experience in a law firm.
  • At least 3-4 years of previous experience as a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant, preferably in litigation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and administrative skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, with good working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Pro for bundles.
  • Experience with a case management system.
  • Excellent audio typing skills.
  • Good level of numeracy.
