Overview

To safely carry out controlled and efficient execution of all pumping operation activities, whilst maintaining effective client and employee relations.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate can-do attitude, communicating in a positive manner with all IKM personnel, client representatives, and other 3rd party contractor personnel.
  • Adhere to the IKM Core Values.
  • Maintain the highest standards of conduct and attitude towards health and safety at all times.
  • Mentor/Coach Junior members of the crew.
  • Operate diesel driven N2 and Fluid pumps under minimal supervision.
  • Operate air driven pumps and hose reels.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment associated with multiple service lines.
  • Ability to follow procedures, work instructions, marked up P&IDs and technical drawings.
  • Have an understanding of company QHSE systems and programmes and ensure compliance.
  • Take ownership of competency development by gathering competency evidence and uploading it to the Competency Management System in I-Skills.
  • Perform essential basic maintenance across all IKM operated pumps.
  • To carry out your duties and responsibilities in accordance with any and all Company Policies, protocols, procedures, risk assessments and systems (including emergency and incident routines), as well as specific site assignment instruction / requirements.
  • Representative IKM’s best interest at all times.
  • Travel to various locations, both onshore, offshore, and internationally, as and when required.
  • Be able to carry out basic oilfield calculations.

Qualifications Required (Technical, Professional, Academic)

Essential:

  • Basic Secondary Education
  • OGUK Offshore Medical Certificate
  • Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Certificate
  • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) Certificate


Preferred:

  • College Diploma or higher.
  • Pump Operator Competency Certificate


Experience Required

Essential:

  • Must have previous experience working in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Operate pumping and auxiliary equipment under minimal supervision relevant to Process, Pipeline, and Well Services pumping operations.
  • Able to read P&ID’s /Isometric Drawings.
  • A strong awareness of the dangers of working with high pressure

Preferred:

  • Offshore experience in Well Stimulation operations.
  • Offshore experience in nitrogen operations.


Personal Skills

  • Enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Basic ability in Microsoft office
  • Ability to work well in a team whilst also independently using own initiative.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive with a high attention to detail.
